This podcast focuses on interviews with performing and visual artists, as well as on thought-provoking and engaging discussions about the cultural habits, practices, and values that shape who we are. The older episodes center more around the connections between language and culture, and examine the cultural aspects of mono- and multiculturalism, third-culture kid identity, and the challenges of living and working across different parts of the world.
Most of the episodes are in English, but I bring you occasional interviews in German, French, Spanish, and Hungarian.

Jean-Luc Garnier is a well-known horticulturist from the Pays de la Loire region in France, and he specializes in the cultivation of roses and of le muguet, which is lily of the valley or mayflower in English. In this episode, Dr. J and Jean-Luc Garnier talk about the French tradition of offering loved ones a bouquet of this special flower on May 1st, which is Labor Day in France. Interestingly, this episode about a flower also tackles some philosophical and political questions.
